Reserve Victory restores pride after humiliating championship defeat. Today seen
Glenelly turn up as the under-dogs to contest with league toppers Drumragh....
and weren't they in for a surprise.
Drumragh got the better of Glenelly in the first half with Glenelly finding it difficult to register scores. The battling Glenelly team never give up, trying and trying until a break through. Half time seen Glenelly trailing by 3 points decided enough was enough and went out with head's up. A team effort was necessary for Glenelly's sucess and after Glenelly's second goal, they didn't look back. Drumragh didn't like the more physical football which Glenelly was presenting to them. In the closing minutes of the game Glenelly drove them selves on earning a deserved won. |
