Satruday seen something special, not just the Seniors collected their first two points but the Reserves also winning their fifth game in a row.
Reserve Game
Report will follow..
Senior Game
This was a must win game for the developing Glenelly side. Glenelly going nearly half the season without no points got a well deserved win over Derytresk on Saturday evening. The conditions for the game improved compared to the Reserve game.
Derrytresk started of the better team but this wasn't for along with an attacking Glenelly team. Glenelly worked hard in the first half but silly mistakes cost them dearly. Derrytresk stayed in the game in the first half but couldn't get a grip on this Glenelly side.
At half time the conditions became worse with a dramatic rainshower during the break. This left the pitch very slippery and made handling the ball more difficult. Glenelly continued scoring but Mickey Ray for Deryresk kept them in the game. In the dieing minutes of the game Glenelly were a point ahead and Derytresk got a 13 yard free kick but opted to shoot for a goal but it was blocked and Glenelly broke out and the referee ended the angonyfor Glenelly.
The first two points of the season lets hope its not the last! |
