This weekend sees action from Championship games both Men and Ladies, with the Under 16 Boys competing in the Under 16 Semi Final today and the Ladies in the Ulster Club Championship tomorrow.
The rush starts today when Glenelly and Eskra meet in Killyclogher to decide who will be in the Division Three Championship Final. The two teams meet at 2 O’Clock. Best of luck to all the lads!! Then the Seniors travel to Derrytresk for a 5pm throw-in. A long journey for the last game of the season will make it a bigger challenge. This however is the battle of the bottom, with Derrytresk not being able to gain any points and Glenelly being able to move up the table. So it’s a must win game for them/ All support welcome. The Reserves had an exciting season this year, wining six in a row and then progressing to the Semi-Final of the Championship. This was the first year that all the lads were training with the Seniors. This comes down to the players ambitions and with the encouragement of the managers Paul Mc Nally and John O’Brien. Unfortunately Brocagh didn’t field last week and now Derrytresk are doing the same. This is disappointing for all those involved but credit is due to you for ending the season well!! The Seniors had their last training session of this season last night. What could be the end of an era of manager John O’Brein after he took this team through thick and thin. Glenelly are currently sitting second last in the division three league. A win tomorrow could make their standing a lot more respectful as they could move up the table several places.
