This is a big week for the Under 16 boys. They travel to Greencastle to take on the Rock in the Championship Final. After a shaky start to the season the managers and players reacted well to the Championship and battled well to earn themselves a place in the final.
Glenelly out training in full strength tonight, there has been no injuries to report of and lets hope it stays that way.
Glenelly Under 16's Glenelly’s Road to the Final: Quarter Final: After losing a few of their first league games Glenelly hit form before they played Brackville. Brackville were the victims of Glenelly’s first team performance. They skill and work rate of this Glenelly team showed to be the vital key after they beat favourites Brackville in a well contested game. Semi – Final: People were asking if this Glenelly side were lucky to beat Brackville but the Managers and Players answered all their critics when the travelled to Killyclogher to take on the Emmets. The two teams went in as equals at the start of the match but again Glenelly’s willpower and fight carried them through! Eskra were the second victims of this Glenelly Team. Lets hope their winning form carries on in the final!!! Venue: Greencastle Date: Saturday 8th October Time: 11am Its up to every club member to come out and support the lads on their big day!! The lads were grateful of all the support which they received during the Semi-Final and hope to see a bigger crowd gather in Greencastle on Saturday!!
