On Saturday night a very large crowd attended the Annual Dinner Dance in the Mellon Country Inn. Everybody had a fabulous time. Thanks to Brian Dooher and Mary Morris the guest of honours, to everybody who came along to celebrate our achievements throughout the past year and especially thanks to everyone who put in so much hard work and effort to allow the night to run smoothly.

Your club! Your Senior team are seeking a new Manager!! Are you the one? Do you think you could manage Glenelly Senior Men?  If you would like to know more information please contact Damien Bradley on 02882 251388.

Rockin’ By The River Festival 2006 – 24th to 30th July. Remember keep it free!!!

On Sunday Glenelly competed in the Scór na nÓg competition which was held in Loughmacrory. Thanks to Tim, Kevin and Colm for taking part in the men’s quiz team, Denise Conway and Elaine Doherty competing in the instrumental competition and Michelle Furey for taking part in the singing. Unfortunately these acts did not progress to the next round, but thanks very much for your effort and time. Congratulations to our successful entrants: the Ladies quiz team, the instrumental group and Mary Carmel Kearney for her recitation. These acts made it through to the County Semi – Finals. Thanks is also extended to all the supporters who travelled to Loughmacrory on Sunday evening. Check local press for Semi-Final dates.  The Senior Scór is fast approaching. Would you be interested in representing your club? Well there is a meeting on Friday 18th November for anyone interested or wants to find out more about it in Delcan Mc Cullaghs’ Bar at 9pm. Everyone welcome so why not come along!!!
