Clogher and Rock will cross swords at the quarter-final stage of the 2006 Junior football championship, and they are the only teams that know who they have to beat in order to qualify for the last four. Both sides will be among the favourites to do well in the Junior grade next season with Rock aiming to go straight back up to Division Two after suffering relegation.
Greencastle and Newtownstewart also avoided the preliminary round in Tuesday night's draw. Greencastle, who'll be determined to make a quick return to intermediate football, will meet Derrytresk or Dregish in the last eight and Newtownstewart will face either Glenelly or Beragh. The other preliminary round ties will see Brockagh pitted against Castlederg and Owen Roes, another club seeking to bounce back from relegation, and Tattyreagh go head to head in the tie of the round. The winners of these two encounters will battle it out for a semi-final place. Brockagh of course reached the Junior decider in 2005 and will be keen to build on that progress in 2006.
