Congratulations to Tyrone on reaching the Mc Kenna Cup Final were they will face Monaghan. After a powerful performance against the Orchard County Tyrone had the pick of the scores. .
Ger Cavlan happy to be back in action and showing his experience steadied Tyrone’s ship with an early point. With Stephen O’Neills quality in the full forward line Armagh couldn’t control the Player Of The Year, with Sean Cavanagh bursting through the middle causing greatly difficult to Armagh to the delight of Mickey Harte John Devine kept the goals safe with Cormac McGinely controlling the fullback area. Half back line was full of attack with Davy Harte and Ciaran Courleys’ experience proving vital in Tyrones’ attack. It wasn’t all free wheeling by Tyrone with Armagh bursting out of the half back line to scores some wonderful scores but Tyrone’s determination to reach the final made these bursts from Armagh harder and harder to get. Mickey Harte could have found his solution to Peter Canavan’s departure with Sean Cavanagh stepping up to hit the right footed frees. Cavanagh accuracy punished Armagh when direct fouls on Stephen O’Neill resulted in Cavanagh placing the ball over the bar. Glenelly GFC would like to wish Mickey Harte and his Tyrone Team all the best in the Dr. Mc Kenna Cup Final and in the National League competition which is set for next week with an encounter with Dublin.
