The dates and venues of Tyrone senior Scór first round events have now been set. The first rounds will take place on Friday 9th February in Greencastle Saturday 10th February in Killyclogher and Sunday 11th February in the Craic Theatre, Coalisland. Friday and Sunday’s events start at 7:30, due to a floodlit match in Omagh on Saturday 10th, the starting time on that day is undecided

. We encourage Clubs to attend on Friday and Sunday where possible. The semi-finals will take place on Friday 16th and Sunday 18th February at venues not yet sorted out. The final will take place on Sunday 4th March in Galbally.

If anyone wishes to take part please contact your club cultural officer or any committee member. Senior Scór is open to anyone over 17 years of age on 01/01/2007 and each club must take part in at least two elements. Anyone who takes part in Scór promotes our native culture in a positive way and they should be encouraged at Club level. We had a great Scór last year and there is no reason why this year can’t be even better. We appeal to clubs that don’t take part to make every effort to do so this year.

There are eight elements in any Scor competition: Rince Foirne (Ceili Dancing), Amhranaiocht Aonair (Solo Singing), Ceol Uirlise (Instrumental Music), Aithriseoireacht (Story Telling / Recitation), Bailead Ghrupa (Ballad Group), Trath na gCeisteanna (Question Time), Nuachleas (Novelty Act) agus Rince Seit (Set Dancing).
