The Minors defeated Newtownstewart tonight 1-11 to 1-10 in a hard fought away fixture. After a closely contested first half which finished level at  1-3 to 0-6, a second half Tony McGrinder goal was the key score of the game.

Glenelly scorers: Stephen McBride 0-4, Tony McGrinder 1-0, Seamus Harkin 0-3, Conal McCullagh 0-2, Kevin McAnena 0-2
