Today Carmen travelled to Plumbridge to take on the Under 14 Girls. This match was predicted to be very tight and there were large number of spectators that turned out to see the match.
Today Glenelly took on Carmen at home, this the league stages of Division 1. Glenelly started of very strong in having scored 1-2 in the first 10 minutes. As the game progressed Carmen became more involved in the game and started scoring. But the Glenelly Girls responded to this by putting heart into their game, by trying to win every ball. At half time Glenelly were ahead as they were all through the match.
In the second half Glenelly seen one of their finest players being taken of because of a wrist injury. This was a major blow to this side. Carmen went on ahead with their objective and tried very hard to beat this Glenelly side but it just wasn't happening. The margin between Carmen and Glenelly came down to a goal at one stage. Glenellys goal keeper saved a well hit penalty and in reply to this Glenelly went up the pitch and scored a point. Then Glenelly got a penalty, their penalty taker was taken off the pitch due to injury but Patricia Morris stepped up and hit a well taken shot but unfortunately the Carmen goalkeeper got to it. The final score was Glenelly 5-5 Carmen 3-5.
