Sunday seen a more confident Glenelly side traveling to Omagh to take on one of the best teams in divison 3. Glenelly certainly didn't give Drumragh their way as a strong performace was shown.
In the reserve game Glenelly were the better side, with points in the first half coming from Geard Conway, Johny Mc Cullagh and also Tony Mc Grinder who also got a goal. Glenlly had a strong side out and they put it up to Drumragh who have only got beaten once this season. Glenelly went into half time 1-3 -0-6.
In the second half Glenelly started off very strong with a blood sub Kerian Mc Cullagh coming on for Paul Mc Cullagh. Kerian was subistuated at half time to make way for manger and forward Paul Mc Nally. Glenellys game started to slip but with credit to Drumragh who raised their game came out on top in the last 5 minutes.
The senior game was exciting, Glenelly started of very strong and within 5 minutes were a goal up. It was very tight after that with point for point with Glenelly's Cathal Nicholas hitiing over thier free kicks. In Glenelly's back line Owen Mc Clouskey was on fire , he was saving Glenelly but credit to the other backs, John Mc Cullagh, Joe Mc Cullagh and Mickey Nicholas played a good defence role. Glenellys goalkeeper Kerian Mc Cullagh had an outstanding first half, saving one-to-ones.
The sides went in at half-time also level, in the second half Glenellys control over the game began to relax with a unfortuante goal seen Drumragh bang ahead. Glenelly kept in the game with a good over all performace from all the team. Drumragh wern't the better side on this occassion Glenellys authority didn't relfect on the score line.
