A very strong Dregish reserve team were held to a draw by Glenelly's weakened team on Sunday. This match set to be a tight encounter from the word go as these two teams meet in the Championship.
On the Reserve game Glenelly dominated for certain spells of the game which they did not use to their full advantage while when Dreisgh got possession of the ball they converted it into scores. Glenelly entering the second half 4 points down. The team spirit and the will to win drove Glenelly on to gain a valuable 1 point which takes them off the bottom of the table.
The Seniors had a more challenging game, with the scoring being point for point. Finally Dregish broke away and gained the vital two points which Glenelly needed. |
