On Sunday afternoon seen the two Glenelly sides travel to Newtownstewart, a bright and sunny day turned into a windstorm which affected both Glenelly teams performances. Starting with the reserves, a steady first half performance seen Glenelly only 2 points of the leaders Newtown, Glenelly playing with the wind didn't use this advantage to the full which at the end lost the game. Newtown on the other hand strived to take a victory. Scores from Kerian Mc Bride, Paul Mc Nally. Tony Mc Grinder and Paul Mc Cullagh kept Glenelly in touching distance of the game. Unfortunately the wind got stronger which did not help Glenelly's mission. In the Seniors match Glenelly dominated for most of the first half but again Glenelly failed to get scores on the board while Newtown got an early goal which set them of for the rest of the match. Glenelly within 1 point of Newtown at half - time. In the second-half Glenelly showed some good signs of improvement with their ball handling skills getting better. Newtown were struggling to get the ball up to their forward line when again Glenellys dominance wasn't turned into scores. Glenelly again lose, but in 2 weeks take on Brocagh at home.
