Tonight seen Urney travel to Plumbridge for the first match of the season. Glenelly turned out to be the stronger team at the end up but as attended Urneys battle was strong
This match in Plumbridge seen two of the better teams in Divison 2 go head to head in a thrilling match. Glenelly's Conal Mc Cullagh was outstanding scoring 1-09 of Glenelly's 1-10. This colossal performance from the full-forward seen Glenelly on their way to vistory. Urney were not content in letting Glenelly get the first two points on the board but thier battle was not as heart-pacing as Glenelly's. Two red cards in the match seen Urney play with only 14 men but then Glenelly's Cathal Sherrin collected a second yellow leaving 29 men on the pitch. Seamus Harkin making sure if Glenellys victory with his point in the final minutes.
At the final whistle after many hop-balls Glenelly turned out the better side on a score line of Glenelly 1-10 Urney 1-09 |
